Hobbs Heirloom Bleached 80/20 is the batting to reach for when you are quilting white, pastel, or very light tops. The cotton is bleached to a bright white, so it will not shadow or dull light fabrics the way unbleached batting can, keeping your finished quilt crisp and clean.
It carries the same trusted Heirloom Premium construction: 80% bleached cotton blended with 20% fine polyester, bonded and needle-punched for strength, durability, and even loft. At 108" wide by 30 yards it covers most queen and king tops in a single piece.

Why choose bleached batting over natural?
Bleached white batting prevents the slight shadowing that unbleached cotton can cause behind white or light fabrics, keeping pale quilts bright. For medium and dark quilts, the natural Heirloom is a better match.
When will my pre-order ship?

How close should I quilt it?
Quilt up to 4" apart. Closer stitching gives a flatter, more durable finish.
Do I need to pre-wash it?
No. Pre-washing is not recommended. Expect 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash.
