All Batting Packages
Packaged batting gives you a pre-cut piece sized for a single quilt — craft, crib, throw, twin, full, queen, or king — with no roll to store. Every major brand we carry is available packaged: Hobbs Heirloom and Tuscany, Quilters Dream in all four lofts, Warm & Natural, and Pellon.
What size package do I need?
Buy the package at least 8 inches larger than your quilt top in both directions — 4 inches of overhang per side for quilting. A 90x108in queen package fits tops up to about 82x100in.
Package or roll — which is cheaper?
Packages win for one-off quilts. If you make more than 8-10 quilts a year in the same size class, a roll pays for itself quickly.
Can I join leftover pieces?
Yes — butt the edges and join with a zigzag stitch or fusible batting tape. Never overlap, which leaves a ridge.
